Portuguese Village It was originally located in Samphao Lom Subdistrict. On the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, The Portuguese were the first Europeans to come to trade with Ayutthaya in the year B.E. 1540, there was a trading post and volunteer soldiers in the Ayutthaya army. Churches were built to spread religion and be the center of the community.

​Currently, there are still traces of the remains of buildings visible in this area. San Petro archaeological site, also called St. Dominic’s Church in the Ayutthaya period. It is a Dominican church. It is the first church built in Thailand. It will be open to tour the inside of the church and the ancient relics that were discovered.
