Krasae Cave

Kanchanaburi Tour

A famous tourist attraction in Kanchanaburi that cannot be missed is Tham Krasae. Tham Krasae is a small cave. Inside the cave is a sacred Buddha image. This place was used to house prisoners of war when the Thai-Myanmar Death Railway was built. During World War II, this area was the most difficult place to build a railroad. Because the path curves along the mountain and has a deep river at the bottom, it is nicknamed the Curve of Death. The cave is next to the railway line. Looking from the mouth of the cave towards the railway area, you will see beautiful scenery and see the Kwai Noi River below.
